Susan McNamara has decades of legal experience from law firms, in-house counsel to the HR Department at the Richmond County District Attorney’s office. At the DA’s office, among other responsibilities Susan oversaw the recruitment and on boarding of all new employees, maintained employee personnel files and reconciled bi-weekly payroll for the various bureaus. Prior to that, Susan spent over 25 years in a managerial position of the Legal/Litigation Dept. at JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. In her role at the bank, Susan was a Vice President where she and her staff managed the litigation calendar and assisted the staff with the filings of legal documents. Susan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, a minor in Business Administration and a Paralegal Certificate from St. John’s University, Staten Island campus.

What do you do now and what are you planning for the future? I am learning the role of the HR Manager at TSC. I plan to assist the employees in all facets of the HR dept. From on-boarding a new employee to informing co-workers about their benefits and assisting those in maximizing their performance to the best of their ability.

How do you unwind from a busy day?  I like to take a long walk on the boardwalk.

One word to describe your work environment: I realized this is more than one word, but working with people that care about you and who share in your successes and hardships is of utmost important to me.
